Thank you so much for supporting the monks of the Pacific Hermitage. Your open-hearted generosity will allow the Hermitage to thrive in the Northwest.

For over 2,500 years lay people have voluntarily supported the monastic Sangha. Now the Sangha is taking root in the West, and the Pacific Hermitage monks depend on us, the community, to offer their requisites: food, clothing, shelter and medicine. They have no other means of support.

The monastic sangha is supported solely through donations.

Immediate Need

Monetary donations are appreciated and especially necessary now to provide a permanent home for the Hermitage monks. Over the next few years, we will need to repay in full the money that was loaned to us to purchase the Hermitage at 65 Barnedt Road. It is the openhearted generosity of our community that will allow the Hermitage to thrive in White Salmon; and for the monastic tradition to blossom in the Pacific Northwest.

Opening the Heart

The Buddha taught generosity as a foundation for long-lasting happiness, and as the basis for developing deep peace. Please consider making a gift to support the monks of the Pacific Hermitage via Sanghata.

Online donations by credit card, debit card, or online check can be made through Network for Good. Donors outside the United States may need to choose the "PayPal," not "credit card" option.

To donate without a fee and to donate monthly, contact your bank about their Bill Pay service. Network for Good also allows for a monthly donation.
