For over 2,500 years lay people have voluntarily supported the monastic Sangha. Now the Sangha is taking root in the West, and the Pacific Hermitage monks depend on us, the community, to offer their requisites: food, clothing, shelter and medicine. They have no other means of support.

The monastic sangha is supported solely through donations.

Anumodana – Permanent Residence loan paid in full!

It is with great appreciation that we announce the payment in full of the loan to purchase the Pacific Hermitage property at 65 Barnedt Rd. ahead of schedule. Hundreds of supporters from around the world provided the generous support necessary to purchase a permanent residence for the Pacific Hermitage monastics. We now have a home in the Pacific Northwest!
